Granite grinding process for granite powder production

SBM constructed granite grinding plant are generally equipped with crushing machine, main grinding unit, powder classifier, cyclone collector, bag filter, blower, motor and pipe. The optional accessories include elevator, feeder and control cabinet.

After being reduced by crusher, the granite materials are sent to storage bin by elevator. The electromagnetic vibrating feeder sends them to the main grinding unit for powder making. The granite materials are driven to the edge of dial by centrifugal force, and descend, crushed and grinded. The high pressure centrifugal blower blows the materials to powder classifier. Coarse granite particles return to the mill for further grinding, while the fine granite powder is drawn to the cyclone and discharged from the discharge valve. The air will be purified by impulse duster and discharged by blower and muffler.

Granite grinding machines selection

Granite is a kind of hard stone with high silicon content, with Moh's hardness is around 7. SBM supplies a variety of grinding mills for your granite powder production plant.

Both MTM medium speed trapezium mill and MTW continental trapezoid mill are adapted to process materials of Moh's hardness under 9. The final product size of MTM medium speed trapezium mill ranges from 1.6mm to 0.045mm, and processing capacity from 2.1t/h to 8t/h. the specification parameters for MTW continental trapezoid mill are 1.6mm to 0.038mm and 3.5t/h to 10t/h.

Raymond mill is another granite grinder favored by our customers. Raymond mill can process granite materials input size ranging from 20mm to 30mm, and the final grain size varies from 1.6 mm to 0.045mm. Its processing capacity can reach as large as 11t/h.

For coarse granite powder production, MXB series coarse powder mill is a good choice with capacity of 8~15 t/h. as for super fine granite powder making, we recommend you SCM super-micro mill whose final product size ranges from 325 meshes to 2500 meshes, and the processing capacity from 325 kg/h to 2500 kg/h.
