In the SBM constructed basalt grinding plant, the main bearing and each dial are driven by electromotor through reducer. Basalt ores in lumps are firstly crushed into small particles by basalt crusher, and then sent to storage bin by elevator. The vibrating feeder sends them to the main unit to be grinded by roller and be crushed between them under centrifugal force. The high pressure airflow puts the grinded particles to powder classifier. Coarse basalt materials fall down to be regrinded while fine powder is drawn to the cyclone and discharged from the discharge valve.

Both MTM medium speed trapezium mill and MTW continental trapezoid mill are adapted to process materials of Moh's hardness under 9. The final product size of MTM medium speed trapezium mill ranges from 1.6mm to 0.045mm, and processing capacity from 2.1t/h to 8t/h. the specification parameters for MTW continental trapezoid mill are 1.6mm to 0.038mm and 3.5t/h to 10t/h.

Raymond mill is also widely used in basalt grinding plant. Raymond mill can process basalt materials input size ranging from 20mm to 30mm, and the final grain size varies from 1.6 mm to 0.045mm. Its processing capacity can reach as large as 11t/h.
