Cone crusher is widely applied in metallurgical, construction, road building, chemical and phosphatic industry. Cone crusher is suitable for hard and mid-hard rocks and ores, such as iron ores, copper ores, limestone, quartz, granite, gritstone, etc.
Spring cone crusher is cone crusher which is the earliest appearance in the world, and it is used widest and larger quantity crush mechanism in present. With the improvement of the series of Series cone crusher, their structure is more perfect and the technology parameter is more advanced, so these crushers have excellent performance in the aspects of manufacture, installation, use and maintenance etc.

Spring Cone Crusher Working Principle
Cone crusher crushes materials by the working surface between fixed cone (also called outer cone) and the movable cone (also called inner cone), as shown in the drawing. The fixed cone is static and is a part of the frame. The material is compressed, hit and bent while the movable cone is close to the fixed cone. So the crushing chamber is formed. And the crushed material is discharged by gravity while the movable cone is far from the fixed cone. So the outlet is formed. The material is feeded fomr the inlet.
Spring Cone Crusher Main Features and Benefits
- 1. High productivity; high quality
- 2. Less machine down time
- 3. Easy maintenance with low cost
- 4. Unique crushing ability in primary, secondary and tertiary crushing
Spring Cone Crusher Application
Spring cone crushers are widely used in industries like metallurgy, construction, road building, chemistry etc, to crush many kinds of mid-hard or hard rocks and ores such as iron ore, limestone, granite, basalt, quartz etc. The standard ones are used for intermediate crushing; the medium ones are used for fine crushing; and the short head ones are used for super thin crushing.

Coal Mining Project
Located at 29km northeast of Elkford, BC, Canada, Fording River began production in 1971 and made its first shipment of metallurgical coal in April 1972. Designed as a 3Mt/y operation, the Fording River has the mineral type of low- to high-volatile bituminous a coals. The mine also produces and sells thermal coal for use by power utilities and associated industries.
SBM high performance PY Series spring cone crusher is the classical crushing equipments. It uses spring as its pressure system and is featured with high capacity, long service time and high efficiency.
Goro Nickel Mining Project
The Goro Nickel plant is one of the largest mining projects under construction anywhere in the world. Open cast to a depth of 50-60m, the main mineral type is nickel and colbalt. Goro is considered among the world's best-known undeveloped laterite ore bodies. The expected annual capacity of the Goro Nickel project is 60,000t of nickel and 4,300 to 5,000t of cobalt.
PY Series spring cone crusher used in the Nickel plant has a perfect reasonable structure and a great performance in manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance.
